Interior decoration is a fascinating mix & match of furniture with a vintage, industrial and contemporary style, which with the car of some color accents, helps to create a home with a very personal and defined taste.
The first step of the restructuring was to organize the 90 square meters of the office, located in Spain, to obtain a modern and bright apartment, with a large living area where to entertain friends.
After the demolition of some walls, the distribution of this building has changed completely. The kitchen and living room are fully integrated: acquiring depth from both environments, one feels the sensation of living in a larger space. The kitchen is however bounded by the living room thanks to the presence of a peninsula, which acts as a breakfast counter and to the different materials used to cover the floor.
The ex-office countertops have been eliminated to gain height. The walls were painted white or gray and the original floor was replaced by dark laminate parquet throughout the house, except in the kitchen and bathrooms, where a stoneware coating was laid.
Another highlight of the project is the use of gray as the common thread of the whole house. This color is present, not only in the doors, in the coverings, but also in furniture, accessories, and walls. This industrial-looking background is perfect for incorporating a combination of design pieces, vintage furniture purchased in flea markets and splashes of color with intense and vivid hues.
The complements and fabrics in electric blue, oil and mustard yellow have been combined with dark gray and gold finishes. The result is a fine example of pop, refined and chic mix & match style. This lounge atmosphere reflects the owner’s passion for music. In the entrance area, a corner of the walls, in addition to presenting the collection of electric guitars, was decorated with moldings painted in anthracite gray, to differentiate this area from the rest.
If the Scandinavian or shabby chic minimal style does not convince you, often the right solution is to mix styles, combining colors and shapes with audacity, but with extreme balance.
NOTE ON THE CHANGE OF DESTINATION OF USE
In Italy, the change of use procedure is a complex subject: the procedures vary from place to place, so it is advisable to contact a professional in the area (if you are in the Marche you can contact us ). It must, in fact, be checked that the change of destination that is intended to be implemented is urbanistically permitted, according to the Municipal Regulatory Plans. Secondly, it must be ensured that all the health and hygiene regulations prescribed by local regulations are observed.
