NORDIC STYLE WITH PASTEL COLORS AND DIY

Who said that pastel colors are only suitable for children’s rooms? Julie, the owner of this house located in a town in Norway, is a creative one. He lives here with his partner and his daughter and has furnished his apartment of the 70s, tailored to his desires, following Scandinavian inspirations, warmed by pastel tones, using cheap furniture and much do-it-yourself. The result is playful and creative!

If you love the Nordic style, light tones, but want to add a touch of color, this house is full of suggestions and ideas to copy. Pastel colors, clean lines, graphic prints, furniture and natural materials such as wood and a touch of fantasy are the main ingredients.

For geographical reasons, one can recognize the simple lines and minimalist furnishings of the Nordic style, centered on well-being and comfort. Even the parquet floor gives the typical warm feeling of Scandinavian homes. The walls are predominantly white, with the exception of the living room wall clad in light wood and the daughter’s bedroom in a beautiful coral color.

The pastel colors are delicate, but at the same time lively and fresh and focus mainly on the shades of coral, yellow and aqua green. Scandinavian furniture, as you can see, knows how to feed on imagination.

The living room is occupied by a large gray corner sofa, which dominates the scene but is not aesthetically invasive. It is full of different pillows, but everything blends together because light and neutral colors are the glue. Pastel shades recreate a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for this season.

Some furnishings inside the house are in pure DIY style (Do It Yourself) or they have been personalized and painted, like the bench in the kitchen and the stool/bedside table (Ikea) in the bedroom or the lamp with large pearls.

In the craft room, very spacious and very practical, there is so much clean and functional space, suitable for concentrating on creative activities.

Certainly there is no lack of details that help to achieve a fusion between aesthetics and function. Thus we find touches of color on the shelves, with objects, boxes, vases, lamps with an original design and luminous garlands to illuminate and give warmth.

Look at the photos to recreate spring atmospheres, without getting away from your favorite style!
